Based in San Francisco, HUGS | SF is an inclusive, all-ages group meetup that honors diversity in all its forms and expressions. Our vision is to build a community with families and children of all stripes, colors, and persuasions, who are established in, or interested in/new to, homeschooling and unschooling life. HUGS was created to be a community built face-to-face.

Who we are

About Us

HUGS | SF began as one parent dedicated to building community.

As a member of various homeschooling and unschooling communities and groups in the Bay Area, they started a new group and play day out of necessity with what worked with their family's life.

The intention for HUGS is for these play days to be thriving gatherings of diverse ages and peoples, where community members actively participate by attending regularly, volunteering to be a play day greeter, or hosting and facilitating activities and skill sharing within the HUGS play day itself.
